Our Tobacco Free Tuesday Winner – Ravi Olekh

Ravi is our July winner for QuitNow’s Tobacco Free Tuesday. This is her story:

Tobacco Free Tuesday - RaviI am a 23 years old and a mother to a sweet 2 year old boy. I started smoking around the age of 15 because my best friend at the time smoked. After smoking for 5 years, I quit when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I was very proud of myself for doing it cold turkey.

Unfortunately, like many others, the stress of life got to me. Instead of finding a healthy way to cope, I picked up the habit again last year.

I want to quit now for my son. I want to ensure his memories of me are healthy and do not involve cigarettes!

Congratulations Ravi for winning July’s Tobacco Free Tuesday with BC Lung Association’s QuitNow!
